• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  Skating is an art that requires Discipline and a Dedicated approach. Same as any sports activity Skating also requires physical activity in a proper way, in the World of Skating everything is to Balance yourself and here it comes to teach to balance us in any situation. From my childhood time, it was my dream to move with skates as I have seen in many Films and advertisements. I was keen to learn it so I got an opportunity to learn and I excel it well.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My coach sir is my motivation to choose Skating to teach students as any other sport it also requires Discipline and sportsmanship but instead of that, it requires a dedicated approach that leads students in a smart and positive way. As Skating is not so famous in my Country and City as well so I took it as a responsibility to teach kids such an exciting and disciplined sport. That will make them ready to take any challenge head-on in their life also.

• How does your work help society?

  As with any sports activity, it also teaches students to be positive and live a disciplined life, it also teaches us to do teamwork and be ready to take challenges. As so in the same way it teaches students to live a fit and healthy life. They will be disciplined in their daily life and also help others as a team member. It is very necessary to have any one sports activities in any student's life Soni choose Skating.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is former Indian cricket Captain MS Dhoni. I am a big fan of his teamwork, strategies, discipline on the field, and eagerness to win. These all qualities are my goals to learn and also teach others that my students will be ready to face any challenges.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Except for Skating, my hobbies are Trekking, Mountaineering, and Shooting. I had done Basic Mountaineering Course with an (A) grade from ABVIMAS MANALI.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Yes, I do have a personal experience about my student life when I was in NCC and selected as the Best Cadet of my Directorate. When there was the best cadet competition that includes ( Marching, Individual interviews, Shooting, Obstacles race, Tent pitching, Common and special subject tests, weapons tests, Map Reading) and so in.
  When I was informed that I am going to represent my NCC Battalion, I was so happy but in a few weeks, the tough and bone-breaking train start with Army personnel from the Indian Military. I was so tough that 60% of candidates were out due to medical issues and I was lucky to be in the top 10, who is going to be part of the Best cadets competition. With my disciplined behavior and eagerness to learn well and to give the best performance, I was selected as Best Cadet and awarded by our Director General sir. It was the best experience of my life that teaches me, Disciplined approach and self-confidence are the keys to achieving any goals.
