About Zeliha

Welcome! I’m excited to help you learn Turkish. As a dedicated and passionate Turkish language tutor, I bring a strong foundation in both the language and the teaching methods that make learning effective and enjoyable. Let’s start building your confidence in Turkish—together.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Turkish Language Tutor

As a tutor, I focus on creating a comfortable, interactive, and goal-oriented learning environment. I believe that language learning should be both practical and enjoyable, so I tailor each lesson to the student's interests, needs, and learning pace.

Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching method is a blend of communicative and grammar-based approaches. I emphasize real-life conversation practice, listening comprehension, vocabulary building, and cultural context, while also ensuring students have a solid foundation in grammar. I often use visual aids, role-playing, short readings, and media (such as Turkish songs, videos, or news articles) to make lessons dynamic and relevant.

Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by a warm-up conversation. Then we dive into the main topic—whether it's vocabulary, grammar, or a cultural element—often using examples, guided practice, and real-life scenarios. We finish with interactive exercises, pronunciation tips, and homework suggestions to reinforce what was learned. I always encourage questions and aim to create a relaxed space where students feel confident to speak.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt my style to different learners—whether you're a complete beginner, an intermediate speaker looking to refine your skills, or someone preparing for an exam or trip to Turkey. I'm patient, encouraging, and passionate about sharing not just the language, but also the rich cultural nuances behind it. I also provide personalized feedback and resources to help students progress between lessons.

Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for a wide range of learners:

Absolute beginners with no prior experience

Intermediate learners wanting to improve fluency

Students taking Turkish as part of a degree program

Travelers or business professionals needing conversational skills

Heritage learners who want to reconnect with the language

Whether you're learning for academic, personal, or professional reasons, I will help you build confidence and competence in Turkish, step by step.
