About Bhavya
I've spent 16 years chasing precision in Bharatanatyam, an art form built on footwork most people have never heard of, let alone attempted. That culminated in my Arangetram, my classical debut.
Teaching came alongside all of it. I started small, helping younger students at my teacher's temple learn the basics, then stepped up as branch manager for Rangashree Dances of India after my Arangetram, teaching private lessons and choreographing routines for my students to perform at festivals.
By this point, I'd already joined my school's dance team, choreographing Bollywood and Hip Hop routines for a crew of 13-to-18-year-olds. I started competing nationally, became team captain, and choreographed more than a few routines that took first place.
Currently, I choreograph for whatever the occasion calls for — weddings, festivals, competitions — and teach students of every age, from their very first steps to competition-level routines.
