About Rebecca
A resonant E chord is the first thing you will hear when we start our sessions. You will gain a firm grasp on maintenance, tuning, and complex music theory through a lens of 14 years of professional practice.
We focus on songwriting and strumming patterns that define the Nueva Trova tradition. My Berklee education ensures that you learn the mechanics of the instrument correctly. You will receive a monthly recorded review of your progress to track how your technique improves. This feedback loop helps you see your own growth clearly over time.
Each session is structured to ensure that you feel comfortable with your fretboard navigation. We treat every guitar lesson as a performance. The goal is to keep the energy high and the music moving.

Strumming a guitar is rarely about just hitting the right notes on a page. People often assume that technique comes before the soul of the music, but I find that groove must happen first. My 14 years of experience allow me to break down complex theory into something manageable for 279 students.
I work with performance-focused learners, kids, and working professionals who want to master chord transitions. Since my early days in Bogotá, I have performed and studied the Silvio Rodriguez style. My degree from Berklee provides a foundation for teaching lead guitar and blues progressions. I keep things lively and encouraging while we look at your progress together.
It is interesting to see how different students approach the same rhythm. I enjoy seeing the moment a student finally connects with their instrument.
