Lessons will start with a diagnostic session to find and isolate the areas students find the most challenging. This idea of identifying problematic areas will continue throughout the lessons in the form of a question and answer time at the end of each lesson on concepts that they have learned out of tutor time, or in homework set by me weekly.
Biology can be difficult subject for students to master because of the complexity of its processes. Biology fundamentally is a science of pathways. Me and my previous students have found that these processes can be explained more easily as a product of their steps; rather than in a holistic fashion a style which biology teachers in secondary education too often employ.
