About Sema
Hello! I’m a professional clarinetist with over 12 years of experience in clarinet education. I graduated from Bilkent University’s Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, where I had the opportunity to study with leading musicians and teachers from Türkiye and around the world, representing different musical schools and approaches.
In my lessons, I create a personalized program based on each student’s level, age, and goals. In addition to basic clarinet training, we can work on technique, breathing and sound production, articulation, musicality, repertoire, and stage performance.
I have been teaching private lessons for approximately 7 years and have experience working with students of different ages and levels. I also have experience preparing students for conservatory and music school entrance exams, including understanding what is expected and which areas are particularly important during auditions.
My goal is not only to teach students how to play the clarinet correctly, but also to help them develop their own musical identity and play with greater confidence, awareness, and enjoyment.
Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve your skills, or are preparing for a conservatory entrance exam, I would be happy to help you achieve your goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, current level, and individual goals. I teach students aged 6 and above.
Rather than relying on a single method or textbook, I use a variety of resources, including materials commonly used in Russian and other conservatory traditions. This allows students to develop a stronger and more comprehensive musical foundation through different approaches.
My teaching method combines clear explanations with plenty of practical exercises. After introducing and explaining a technique or concept, I make sure the student has enough time to practice and apply it. We can also work on sound production, breathing, articulation, sight-reading, musicality, and repertoire.
I have approximately 7 years of private teaching experience and have worked with students at various levels.
My lessons are suitable for:
- Complete beginners
- Students who already have some experience and want to improve
- Students preparing for conservatory or music school entrance exams
- Anyone who wants to learn the clarinet as a hobby
Whatever your goal is, I adapt the lessons to your level, learning pace, and individual needs.

Kızım piyano dersi almaya başladı ve derslerden çok memnunuz. Sema’nın çocuklarla iletişimi gerçekten çok güzel. Kızıma karşı sabırlı ve anlayışlı davranıyor, dersleri onun yaşına ve seviyesine göre eğlenceli bir şekilde ilerletiyor. Kızım ders günlerini heyecanla bekliyor ve evde kendi isteğiyle piyano çalışmaya başladı. Kısa sürede nota okumada ve piyano çalmada gelişme gördük. Çocuklara piyano eğitimi için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

Çok memnunum, bir süre ders aldım. Hiç müzik bilgim olmamama rağmen çok güzel yerlere geldim. Bir çok kaynak kullanması güzel bir şey. Öneririm.
Gerçekten çok memnun kaldım. Bu mesleğin içinden birisi öğretince gerçekten çok fark ediyor. Ben kızımı konservatuvar sınavlarına hazırlansın diye ders aldırmaya başlamıştım. İyi ki de yapmışım. Teşekkürler
