I am a recent graduate from University of York, where I studied Music as a first study pianist. I have an LTCL Performance Diploma and have a lot of performance experience. Music is about enjoyment, so I try to encourage a fun approach to learning.
I aim to give fun and inspiring lessons that leave the student wanting to improve and learn. Lessons I teach will cover the basics of music from leading how to read and blow an instrument for the first time all the way to be able to nail the your favourite song.
Pedagogies I use are that of El Sistema for groups and pedagogy / knowledge laid out in Deliège and Sloboda's Musical Beginnings and Swanwick's Music, Mind, Education, (Spiral of Musical Development in Children). Given the suitable teaching and environment any child can learn to play a musical instrument.
My Method, is to just let you adapt at your own speed, and to make lessons interesting and fun! Starting by teaching the basics, and starting you off for playing basic tunes. Then advancing on from there! I Want Students to feel engaged and in love with the instrument.
A patient teacher who is passionate about inspiring younger people, encouraging them to play instruments. I would be comfortable teaching ability from beginner to advanced and in primary school / lower secondary school. I would provide music so students can practise at home and provide 30 minute lessons.
My aim is to share my enthusiasm for music, make it fun to learn and draw on an individual's strengths to support their learning. I completed my BA (hons) in 1994 and have been self employed as a musician since 1997.
I strongly believe, and understand from personal experience that each musician learns differently. Some prefer to read music, others prefer to play by ear. I seek to encourage the development of both during lessons, as well as providing a fun, simple and musical approach to playing the clarinet.
I take a student centred approach - it's all about you! The beauty of individual lessons is we can tailor the structure to help you achieve your own goals in a way that works for you. If you're working towards external exams, that's fine too - I will advise you on what you need to do to meet the requirements.
I am a friendly and motivational student who would introduce the passion and skills of the clarinet to beginners or at an early standard. I will teach and guide anyone of any age who wants to learn the clarinet at their own steady pace. I would never give more than what anyone can handle.
I can teach students of any age and up to advanced ability on clarinet, predominantly classical but also jazz, and also offer singing lessons to those up to an intermediate level. I can provide music theory lessons, especially to those working towards their Grade 5 exams.
I use a variety of different pedagogical styles depending on the students reasons for learning. My approach with a performance post-graduate would be entirely different from that of a complete beginner or a child or an adult learner. I also understand that students have different learning styles and adapt my approach to accommodate this.
My teaching method is to ensure that there is a good balance between enjoyment and musical progress. It is essential that when learning any instrument, a sense of pleasure and accomplishment is achieved. Lessons are tailored to the students needs: i.e. what the student wants to accomplish e.g. grades, performance, pleasure/hobby, stress-relief and Primary/Secondary school.
I teach both children and adults who are beginners to intermediate (up to grade 8 saxophone and clarinet; grade 5 piano and flute). I teach a wide range of styles from classical to jazz and particularly enjoy teaching jazz improvisation. I am very patient and am keen to help build pupil's confidence. I have been teaching since 2011.
I can teach to the ABRSM syllabus or if you are not interested in grades I am more than happy to tailor lessons to your individual requirements. My aim is for pupils to become inspired to develop as a musician through creative and engaging learning, and for students to get as much music in their lives as possible.
I give classes from beginners to advanced students in all ages. During the instrument classes I use the methodology that I developed during my time as a teacher in Brazil, where the student learns instrument skills, read music and history and analises at the same time, and for children I base the musicalization classes in Dalkrose and Kodaly methodologies.
I have been playing the Piano for over 25 years and teaching for 10. I teach for fun or for exams. Music theory lessons also available. Lessons at my home take place on my brand new electric piano, or my upright acoustic. I can also travel to your home for lessons. Reasonable rates. All ages and abilities catered for.

I began learning music at the age of seven, and I haven't stopped yet. I have always believed that learning a Musical Instrument should be fun and enjoyable and I try to achieve this with my teaching. The lessons will be structured to suit your individual needs and this is something we would establish during your first lesson.
I follow my teacher's methods of Ronald Van Spaendonck and Alessandro Carbonare. It depends to the level of the student i try different ways of teaching the clarinet, the method of the balloon and the straw.
Educated to degree level, I have Grade 8 clarinet with the ABRSM and have put hundreds of children through exams. I have taught music through all school key stages, and am also a confident coach in mathematics. All instruments will be considered.
Learning music should be fun. Music lessons with Claire will be fun and relevant. You may wish to prepare for graded exams, or you may wish to play for pleasure, but whichever way, we will learn lots of pieces in between - popular, film, classical and more.
My lessons are fun, silly and always productive! Learning an instrument and it's rules should never be a chore, and I can get the sheet music for any kind of song you like! Learning music is a beautiful skill to be valued.

I give lessons to people of all ages and levels of ability. I am a Postgraduate student at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, having already graduated from the same conservatoire with a Clarinet Performance degree. I began my studies here at the age of 12 through the Junior Course.
I can offer intensive (or regular) courses adapted to your specific needs and interests, no matter what your level. Perhaps weekly lessons are not convenient for you and you would like a crash-course to get started, or you would like to establish a method that could allow you to be a self-sufficient learner.
I teach music - both theory and performance. I am a Ph.D. in musicology with many tears experience in teaching from A level to college tutoring. But I have also performed jazz and classical music on three continents and know how to develop musicians in both technique and musicianship.
