About Nicholas
I am a second year currently studying at the University of Oxford. During my free time, I rollerblade, row, take photos using 35mm film and collect vinyl. On the more academic side, I have an extensive interest in biology and chemistry which hopefully I can further instil into students. As a tutor, I aim to connect with students on a more personal level especially with those who may be struggling to connect with their education in a school environment. I am DBS approved.

Teaching students using interactive/participative techniques. Lessons can last from 1 hour to 2 hours. I have 4 years' experience tutoring pupils both with a tutoring company based in London and privately. Furthermore, I was tutored as well throughout my GCSEs and A-Levels therefore I understand the influence that tailored and effective tutoring can have on students. Within my lessons, I aim to give my students the necessary skills to take control of their grades, for example teaching students how to navigate mark schemes and how to effectively utilise class time at school. My tailored lessons involve understanding every student's learning types and also teaching them how to revise using techniques that would suit them. I am a second year studying biochemistry at the University of Oxford and I have achieved top grades for GCSE and A-Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology. My lessons and experience tutoring will mainly suit year 10 and 11s studying their GCSEs.
