About Jayme
I’m a Biochemistry graduate from Hamilton College with a minor in Mathematics, and I’m also an alum of Phillips Academy Andover. I have a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and math, and I’m passionate about helping students understand complex concepts in a clear and approachable way. My teaching style is personalized and interactive, focusing not only on improving grades but also on building long-term confidence and independent problem-solving skills. I enjoy guiding students through challenging material while making lessons engaging and tailored to their learning style.
A bit more about me:
I am currently on a gap year before med school, starting my applications soon. In my community, I coach in an Uplifting Heroes clinic which focuses on powerlifting with kids that have neurodevelopmental disorders. I also coach a youth lacrosse team, and I was 2x All-American Lacrosse player for Hamilton College. In my free time I love to snowboard, play the guitar, and run.

I focus on breaking complex STEM concepts into simple, understandable steps. My approach combines active problem-solving, guided explanations, and real-world examples to make material memorable. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning preferences, whether that’s visual aids, practice exercises, or Socratic questioning, to ensure concepts stick long-term.
Typical Lesson Plan:
- A standard session usually includes:
- Quick review of previous material and homework
- Targeted lesson on a specific concept or problem area
- Guided practice with examples and problem-solving strategies
- Independent practice while I provide real-time feedback
- Wrap-up & takeaways, including tips for studying or approaching similar problems
- Each lesson is customized based on the student’s goals, pace, and skill level.
What Sets Me Apart:
- Strong STEM background: Biochemistry major, math minor, Hamilton College
- High academic credibility: Phillips Academy Andover alum + high MCAT scorer
- Personalized approach: Lessons are tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Confidence-focused: I don’t just teach the material—I help students gain independence and confidence in STEM
Who the Lessons Are For:
- Middle school to high school students struggling with or excelling in biology, chemistry, and math
- Students preparing for advanced classes, AP exams, or STEM competitions
- Ideal for those seeking structured, interactive, and engaging sessions that go beyond memorization
