About Maedeh
My name is Maedeh. I work full-time at Cedars-Sinai medical center as a post-doctoral scientist, working in the field of stem cell technologies, space medicine, and cardiac organ-on-chip devices. Sounds very futuristic; it is and it's also loads of fun. :)
I'm a great cook; love cooking. I also love painting on the road, in random places, swimming in lakes, and camping a lot. I hated the pandemic time and am still recovering from its effects!
Before graduating from school, I TA-ed several courses and taught many online/in-person classes in the STEM fields. The one thing that rewards me as much as being in the laboratory, is teaching. I've enjoyed all my classes mostly due to observing the progression of my students and their astonishing and amazing questions, which only expand one's mind. On the other hand, I get encouraged by observing the effect of my work on my students' success, advancement to college, advancement to graduate schools, and sparking the excitement of education in them as well. :)
