About Ramisa
Hi, I'm Ramisa! I'm currently studying Biological Sciences at Durham University, and I have a real interest in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Do not worry I am not that boring teacher who will give you a topic to memorise even if it is Biology, I have always prioritised understanding more than anything. I know that sometimes a subject can feel difficult simply because it hasn't been explained in a way that makes sense to you yet. So, I want to help students understand the subject in a way that feels clear and manageable, while also building their confidence. I remember how overwhelming exams and difficult topics can feel, so I want my lessons to be a space where you can ask questions, make mistakes and learn without feeling judged.
My goal is not to become a teacher; my goal is to become a friend who will never stop motivating and supporting the students.

In each lesson, I combine explanation with active practice. I encourage students to ask questions and explain concepts back to me, because being able to explain something in your own words is a strong sign that you actually understand it.
I also use exam-style questions regularly so that students learn how to apply their knowledge and understand exactly what examiners are looking for. Before moving on, I check their understanding and identify any gaps that need more work.
My goal is not just to help students get through one exam, but to make them more confident and independent learners.”
