About Aria
My name is Aria Djamali, and I’m from the US and hold dual citizenship with Iran. I’ve always been passionate about languages and cultural exchange. I grew up speaking French and Farsi, learned English later on, and eventually fell in love with Spanish.
I studied Biology and Spanish at university and had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain for six months. During my last two years of university, I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor for the Spanish department, where I discovered how much I enjoyed helping others learn languages and build their confidence.
After graduating, I completed a 40-hour medical interpreting course and passed two exams to become a certified Spanish medical interpreter. I recently moved to London to pursue a Master of Science in Control of Infectious Diseases, with the goal of building a career in global health. I love that languages allow me to connect with people from different backgrounds, and I hope to bring that same enthusiasm and cultural curiosity into my Spanish lessons!
