About Stella
I’m a biology tutor with over 6 years of experience and a BSc in Biology with Psychology. My passion lies in ecology, environmental science, and the conservation of biodiversity. I teach students how ecosystems work and why balance in nature is essential for survival. My lessons explore the effects of climate change, habitat loss, and pollution on the natural world. I emphasise understanding systems — not just memorising facts. Each session helps students think critically about the environment and human impact. I love working with learners who care deeply about nature and sustainability. My approach combines scientific accuracy with empathy and real-world application. I draw from psychology to support motivation and curiosity in learning. Together, we analyse case studies and explore ways to create positive environmental change. In my biology lessons, I focus on understanding the unseen world. I teach microbiology, bacteria, viruses, and how they shape ecosystems and human health. My approach is reflective, steady, and supportive, helping students explore without pressure. I want learners to develop curiosity about what happens beyond what we can see. Topics like disease transmission and public health biology show how connected our world truly is. My teaching combines explanation, discussion, and visualisation to make complex systems easier to grasp. I also introduce toxicology concepts to help students see how substances affect life processes. I guide them through reasoning exercises to understand cause and effect at the molecular level. Every student learns differently, and I take time to help them find their own approach to understanding biology. I believe gentle persistence leads to deep learning. Together, we uncover the patterns that define living systems. My goal is to help students not only succeed in exams but also think like scientists. Step by step, we discover the microscopic universe that shapes everything around us.
