About Alejandra
Hello! I'm a university graduate and have been supporting secondary school students in their academic journey for over five years. My goal isn't just to help you pass, but to help you gain confidence, organize your study routines, and see that no subject is too difficult if it's taught with the right approach. I fully understand how demanding and ever-changing the secondary school years can be. That's why my classes are based on empathy, patience, and a learning environment where making mistakes is simply the first step towards learning. I bring a dynamic approach and excellent communication skills to students of this age, backed by both my years of experience in private tutoring and my recent work in the USA, an experience that provided me with complete language immersion and total fluency in English (C2 level). I offer the utmost professionalism, punctuality, and continuous support for each student. My goal is for students to understand the "why" behind things, gain independence, and successfully complete secondary school without getting stuck. After five years of tutoring, I've found that difficulties often stem from a lack of a suitable method or gaps in their foundational knowledge. Therefore, I use a practical and interactive approach: in science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology), I avoid rote memorization and break down problems into simple steps until the underlying logic is mastered; in humanities and other subjects, I work directly from the textbook to closely follow the school's curriculum. Furthermore, having recently worked in the US and currently preparing for the C2 level in English, I bring a great deal of fluency and dynamism to this subject. As a teacher, I am known for my approachability, patience, and commitment. My experience with students of this age allows me to connect well with them, create a safe space where they can overcome their fear of making mistakes, and keep them motivated. My classes are exclusively for secondary school students (grades 7-10), specializing in science and English, although I also offer support in other subjects. I teach online for €15/hour (main option), and I consider in-person classes only within the Villaverde area with an additional travel fee and depending on availability.
