About Nicola
With over 300 hours of private tutoring experience, I have developed a strong track record in teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Maths across the GCSE (Pearson, Cambridge, Edexcel) and IB curricula for students in Years 7–13 (Grades 6–12). As an award-winning Master’s graduate in Pharmacology (Honours) from King’s College London, and having completed both the GCSE and IBDP programmes myself, I understand first-hand the academic and extra-curricular pressures students face. In combination with practical strategies, I use this insight to mentor with empathy and encouragement, helping students to build confidence and excel.

To me, creating a judgement-free, curious, and interactive environment for learning is of utmost importance. My teaching focuses on long-term retention, active engagement, and meaningful, organic interactions to nurture life-long learners. I am committed to delivering inclusive education and have experience supporting students with a wide range of learning needs, ensuring every learner feels supported and empowered. I specialise in designing personalised lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace. My lessons frequently incorporate real-world examples to help students ground abstract concepts and make learning more intuitive. I also create custom material such as worksheets and quizzes to reinforce understanding, track progress, and support students in mastering challenging topics and exam formats. All lessons are delivered online for 60 minutes via Lessonspace, an interactive platform that provides an engaging and accessible virtual classroom experience. Please note that cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
