I am a university student looking to tutor part time for English and Science primary-GCSE students. My lessons will include matching markscheme to exam papers to make sure you’re always sticking to what examiners are looking for in order to guarantee the best grades. Having done A-Level English, Biology and Chemistry, I can use my own experience to point out mistakes and also to mark papers as an examiner would. Every lesson’s content would be tailored to each child and to which topics they find difficult or are weaker in. My aim is not only to ensure the best grades for each child, but also to help them understand each subject to the maximum, encouraging them to pursue it!
I have tutored several students in the past in both Biology and English. I am also currently on a programme training to be a teacher by visiting schools around Essex (C2C Recruitment). Therefore, I am developing skills I already have like patience and understanding whilst also gaining new skills essential for this role in tutoring. I have achieved A-Levels in both English Lang+Lit and also in Biology and Chemistry so my knowledge in the subjects I tutor is vast. Having the experience of exams, I know how stressful and nerve wracking they can be so my goal is to make sure you or your child is confident enough in their knowledge that they can sit exams without the fear and nerves which may ruin their flow.

Sedika was super quick to give feedback when I do exam papers for her. She would get them back and marked with corrections so fast. This was good for me because I hate the anticipation of knowing the result but even when I didn’t do so well in biology, Sedika would encourage me and tell me what I could do differently and it made me feel really confident when exams came around.
Sedika is a great tutor because she actually cares about her students. She tutored me and my younger sister in GCSE English and we both got A/Bs by the end of it! She was so kind and always asked what we were finding hard in lessons etc and then focusing on that which I thought was a really good method. 10/10
