About Tiya
Hi! I'm Tiya, a Biomedical Sciences graduate and I am about to start my Masters degree. I love my degree as it combines my knowledge about the human body and applies it to real life scenarios e.g. test results and how that affects a patient's prognosis.
My GCSE cohort were the 'guinea pigs' since we were the first people to have any GCSEs under the new 9-1 format (English Lit, English Language and Maths). The same could also be said for A-levels (mine were linear with second year having 100% of the weighting, instead of 50/50 like the year above us).
My A-level experience wasn't the most straightforward but I had tutors and they helped me through it. That is part of the reason why I would like to tutor other students like you - to be your academic support system, there for you when you need any help on achieving your potential.

A typical length of a lesson would be a hour, focusing on the level of the student (e.g. for Year 11 students,it would be exam technique and recap, but for Year 9/10 it may be exploring a topic beyond what's covered in the classroom).
I have been tutoring since September 2021 mainly GCSE students covering Biology and Chemistry (if you do request Maths/Physics, I may not be an expert but I will try my best!). I can tailor lessons to fit whatever grade you're aiming for(and possibly higher) to ensure that:
a) you feel comfortable about the level and that you can perform at that level
b) there is room to improve and push yourself to the next grade
