About Eleanor
I am a diligent, driven and enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for science. Naturally, growing up in the southern French hills led me to develop a deep interest of the world around and within me, which later drove me towards pursuing a career in science.
Patient, curious, fun loving and good at listening are just a few relevant ways that I would describe myself. I have always appreciated the power and privilege to learn and therefore I wish to impart on the generations to come what was given to me!

Whether you are more comfortable learning verbally and/or visually, I will adapt my teaching. It’s all about understanding and enjoying it! After all, it is hard to explain something unless it is understood, and I firmly believe in thinking how to think rather than what to think.
My techniques/teaching methodology:
- Using visual examples - to determine links between different topics
- Demonstrating a task before they try
- If less confident, I ask them write down as many keywords as possible and what they understand about each one?
- If more confident - I asking pupil to provide answer
- Having discussions
- Teaching at a pace they prefer
I usually teach lessons that last 1h, but this can vary depending on pupils schedules and overall needs.
I have experience tutoring in person from University up until now. I am confident with teaching up to 3 people at a time, although I draw huge emphasis on providing equal attention to my students, unless this isn't necessary.
I am proficient in teaching science up to GCSE, and biology up to A-level , seeing as I am educated to a Master’s level in Biomedical Sciences.
