About Ameen
I have worked a lot with elementary school, middle school, high school, and college undergraduates in a wide variety of topics such as organic chemistry and biology. I do this because I love teaching and seeing faces go from confused to happy. My most recent success was with a 1st year college student and he was able to finish general chemistry/pre-ochem with an A.
Outside of tutoring, I love to read, play the violin, workout, surf, golf, and try new restaurants.
I tutor not for the money but to help my students succeed and it helps me reinforce concepts and content while I study for the MCAT as I am a premedical student.
Side note: I also tutor non-STEM subjects as well including English, literature, writing, and essay writing help. My rate is also flexible.

My philosophy is to act as a coach and facilitator, guiding students through critical thinking and independent problem-solving rather than simply giving them the answers. It emphasizes building confidence, fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment, and tailoring instruction to each student's unique learning style.
I have taken this philosophy as I have seen when students are coached during "practice" aka these tutoring sessions, they can play the "game" aka their exams at the highest level.
I do this through:
1): Prepping the material before the tutoring session.
2):Testing their understanding of the material during our meeting time and noting down where they are struggling.
3): Re-teaching the material they struggled with
4): Testing them again after to see how much they improved
5): Giving them practice problems to work on in between sessions in order to retain information and to come to the next session with questions.
