About Sakshi
Hi, I’m Sakshi! I’m a Biotechnology graduate with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the subject, alongside a degree in Education. I’ve been working in secondary schools for nearly two years, supporting students across KS3 and KS4, and I now offer friendly, personalised Maths and Science lessons up to GCSE and Biology up to A-Level, both online and in person around Birmingham city centre.
Science and Maths have always been subjects I genuinely enjoy, I know what it feels like to look at a concept and think, “I just don’t get this!” and I also know how rewarding it is when it finally clicks. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand concepts without feeling intimidated.
During my Biotechnology degrees, I developed a particular interest in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, cell biology, evolution and cancer biology. My Master’s dissertation focused on the increased susceptibility of cancer patients to COVID-19 and the factors contributing to disease severity, alongside exploring potential novel drug targets for lung cancer. So, if you’re an A-Level Biology student who enjoys asking “why?” and going beyond simply memorising the textbook, I’d love to help you explore those ideas.
My lessons are friendly and relaxed, but I take learning seriously. I tailor my approach to each student’s needs and feedback, while encouraging revision, reflection and practice between lessons. My goal is not simply to help you get the right answer, but to help you understand the process and become confident enough to tackle problems independently.

I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology alongside a degree in Education, and have nearly two years’ experience working with KS3 and KS4 students in secondary schools. I offer friendly, tailored lessons in Maths and Science up to GCSE and Biology up to A-Level, online or in person.
