Birgan is one of our best tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!
I am quite flexible in how I tutor, and I tailor sessions according to the student's needs and goals. We can work through assignments, readings, or essay questions together. Overall, I encourage students to critically and regularly engage in the subject that they are studying. I design each session/course to enable such a learning environment, through the use of digital teaching platforms, interactive exercises, and audio-visual material, along with interesting articles, books, and blogs.

I received my PhD in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics. I have 6 years of experience in teaching and lecturing undergraduate students and students preparing for their A levels. I have taught students in one-to-one sessions and in groups of 6, 15, and 60. Students I tutored have all succeeded in their social sciences exams and demonstrably improved their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Perfect! Birgan helped me for one of my assessment. She was very patient and gave me good advice on how to make good progress. I passed my assignment, so thank you Birgan

Birgan helped me a lot with my studies and helped me prepare for a sociology degree at university. She was always on time and had great insights. I still use her advice. Definitely a recommended tutor!
As a colleague and collaborator of Dr. Birgan for several years now, I have had the opportunity to witness her teaching in several different platforms and formats. Aside from the ease with which she can adjust to different expectations and styles of teaching (online, in-class, lecture, seminar, discussion etc.), what I find most impressive in her teaching is the ability to explain complex and difficult concepts with clarity and ample contemporary examples. Her command of socio-politics in different parts of the world (UK, Turkey, US etc.) also allow her to provide a versatile application of concepts and social theory that foster a critical approach. Students have consistently reported her as very approachable and responsive to different needs. I would strongly recommend Dr. Birgan as a versatile, critical social science teacher who prioritizes student needs and input in her teaching.
She is an excellent and caring instructor. She has a strong command of the discipline and a comprehensive approach to teaching. Highly recommended!
I taught with Dr Birgan Gokmenoglu at the LSE for two years and I have observed her teaching. She is one of the best Sociology teachers I have ever met. Smart, sharp, approachable and caring. She is extremely skilful in explaining complicated ideas clearly and concisely. She displayed great talents in managing the classroom and teaching concepts to all learning styles. Her classes are stimulating and engaging. She always gives students detailed and constructive feedback.
