About Valencia
Adult learners often assume that classical repertoire is too rigid or intimidating to approach later in life. My work with 295 students reveals that musical growth is a lifelong pursuit rather than a race to the finish line. After 7 years of performing in NYC and on tour, I transitioned into a teaching role where I help teens and advanced students refine their musical identity.
My BMus background informs every technical choice we make during our time together. I focus on the intersection of solid piano technique and the emotional intelligence required for great music making.
My personal journey through the industry allows me to offer insights that go beyond simple note reading. I find that my most successful students are those who are ready to challenge their current habits. Whether we are focusing on chord voicing or complex memorization techniques, the goal remains the same. I look forward to working with you on your musical path.
