About Fernanda
Hi! I'm Fernanda, a Brand & Graphic Designer with over 8 years of professional experience. I've worked with more than 10 clients across retail, food & beverage, construction, and personal-services sectors, building brand identities, packaging, and design systems. I've also mentored a team of 3 designers and volunteered as a tutor for K-12 students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Design, Animation and Digital Art, and I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy. I'm patient, organized, and passionate about helping others grow. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining your skills, I'll meet you where you are and help you reach your goals.

My lessons are personalized to each student's goals, whether you're a complete beginner, a design student, or a professional looking to sharpen your skills. I start with a free consultation to understand your level, interests, and objectives. Then I build a plan that combines design theory with hands-on practice: typography, layout, composition, color, and software skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma. A typical lesson includes a short review, a focused technique or concept, a practical exercise, and constructive feedback. What sets me apart is my 8+ years of professional experience in branding, packaging, and design systems, plus my background mentoring designers and tutoring students. I teach in English and Spanish, online or in person in Vancouver.
