About Joey
I'm a postgraduate student with two degrees in Psychology (BSc Behavioural Science at UQ in Brisbane and MSc Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary in London). Additionally, I have worked as an English speaking counsellor in France with children and young adults, and have partaken in mental health related volunteer work in London. My dissertation for my MSc was a systematic review assessing the role of sleep disturbances in schizophrenia and I graduated in the top 1% of my class with a high distinction.

I'm a very patient and kind guy, so I'm happy to work with anyone of any level to help you get the grade or level of knowledge you're happy with! Just like actual counselling sessions, progress is a two-way street, but I structure my lessons to make things as simple as possible. This normally involves having a core idea and breaking it down into smaller parts, making it easier to remember. I also like to use a lot of analogies and try to apply concepts to real life scenarios.
