Hi, I’m Brooke and I am currently an undergraduate double bass student at the Royal Academy of Music. I’m offering London-based lessons for all levels! Fun and enjoyable teaching approach.

About Brooke
I first found the double bass accidentally at a ‘Try a Musical Instrument Day’ at my local music trust and haven’t stopped playing since. I am currently pursuing my BMus undergraduate degree at the Royal Academy of Music. Despite being a student, I have had lots of high-level performance experience. Between the ages of 13-18 I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra, some of my highlights from this being the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, and performing Mason Bynes’ double bass and piano piece ‘Hades’ live in the Royal Festival Hall, recorded by BBC Radio 3. Now, I appear regularly in freelance orchestras around London, as well as the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra. I love sharing music with others, and one of the ways I love to do this is through teaching. I’ve had experience teaching people at lots of different levels, through outreach projects and Saturday orchestral teaching jobs. I love bass playing and aim to show others how fun the double bass is in my lessons!!
