Hi, I’m Sophia! I’m a Brown University graduate with a degree in Philosophy and Literary Arts. I earned a 5 on the AP English exam, received multiple English awards, and was honored with a Creative Writing prize. I specialize in writing, editing, and helping students bring clarity and power to their ideas. I consider myself a master of essay writing — from crafting strong theses to polishing final drafts — and I’m confident I can help any student dramatically improve their writing and achieve top grades. I’m passionate about storytelling, critical thinking, and building students' confidence in their communication skills. Outside of tutoring, I love singing, freediving, and exploring literature from around the world.

Hi, I'm Sophia! I’m a Brown University graduate with a degree in Philosophy and Literary Arts. I specialize in English, writing, reading comprehension, and editing. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each student’s unique needs. I focus on helping students work through their ideas, find the core of what they want to express, and communicate it clearly and effectively.
In a typical lesson, we’ll review assignments or projects, brainstorm and organize ideas, and work through drafts together to strengthen writing and argumentation. I also help students develop critical thinking skills that make their writing sharper and more persuasive.
