About Rachael
I am an experienced Geography Tutor having worked on online platforms for the last 7 years and in person for two years. I graduated from the University of Exeter with a 1st Class Geography degree where I focussed on Earth System Science, Climate Change and Society, Biogeography and Glaciology. In addition to my Geography degree, I have many years of experience working in academia and the geographical/science communication sector. When I'm not working, I'm busy exploring wild spaces around the world, usually from a mountain top. I am ready to enthuse my students and ignite a passion for the world around them through engaging lessons and exam practice that bring Geography to life.

With 7 years of experience delivering engaging and tailored Geography lessons online, I am suitably experienced in tutoring Geography at secondary level, with specific expertise in Geography GCSE. I graduated from the University of Exeter with a 1st Class Honours BSc Geography degree with Spanish and Professional Placement where I have developed my expertise in a wide range of applicable geographical skills. Passionate about the world around me, I strive to create materials and lessons that intrigue and inspire my tutees to apply what they have learnt to their individual situation. Rachael is a highly organized individual, who takes great pride and care, in the preparation and delivery of her work. However, this doesn't mean she isn't fun and creative in her work!
She possesses excellent, and comprehensive, geographic subject knowledge - covering both human and physical topics.
Additionally, she is a patient teacher, who is receptive to the needs of her pupils, and prepared to adapt her methods to their needs.
Rachael has helped our son, who was initially reluctant to have extra tutoring, with his GCSE geography. She has managed to ignight a passion for study in Michael who now really seems to understand his work , which is a lot more than can be said for his Mum and me. Thank you Rachael.
