About Beth
With an A* in GCSE Maths and straight As in the rest of my subjects, followed by A-Levels in Chemistry and Physics, I went on to earn a First Class degree in Paramedic Science. I have since worked as an Analytical Chemist in the Pharmaceutical industry, where I applied my strong scientific background daily. I currently work in the AI MedTech industry.
I am highly motivated and driven, and discovered my passion for teaching while training colleagues at work. I have 2 years private tutoring experience and find great satisfaction in helping others grasp complex concepts. I focus on the methods that genuinely improve grades: consistent past paper practice, strong exam technique, and complete understanding of the specification. My teaching style centres around working through a wide range of past papers because there is no substitute for applying knowledge under exam conditions. I also introduce students to their exam board specification as early as possible, treating it like a revision bible to guide learning and create effective revision resources. This approach helps students understand exactly what examiners are looking for, build confidence, and maximise marks in every topic
