About Tarun
I am a final-year BSc Management and Information Technology student at Lancaster University, predicted a First Class degree, with hands-on experience in data analysis and technology from a placement year at Intel Corporation and an internship at AXA UK. I also serve as President of a student consulting society, which has sharpened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt to different audiences — skills I bring directly into my tutoring.
I offer online GCSE and A-Level Maths lessons tailored to each student's learning style and goals. My approach focuses on breaking down difficult topics into clear, step-by-step explanations that build genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. Lessons are interactive, exam-focused, and structured around what each student actually needs — whether that's catching up on a tricky topic, consolidating core skills, or refining exam technique under time pressure.
My foundation in mathematics was shaped by the Indian school curriculum, widely recognised for its rigorous and structured approach to the subject — one that builds strong mental arithmetic, problem-solving instincts, and a deep conceptual grounding from an early age. This has given me a natural fluency with numbers that I now use to make even the most challenging topics feel approachable for my students.
I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. Having recently navigated high-stakes university-level assessments myself, I understand the pressure students face and know how to help them feel prepared and confident when it matters most.
