About Charlotte
I am a 24 year old Paralegal on a journey to qualifying as a Solicitor of England and Wales. I have 10 GCSE’s A*-C, A Levels in English Language and Literature, Psychology and Sociology A*-B, a BSc in Criminology and Sociology (2:1) and a Master of Arts in Law (Commendation).I enjoy studying, I enjoy learning and absorbing knowledge and I wish I had someone to guide me through my studies who had recently been through the same thing. I am exceptionally passionate about Psychology and Sociology, more specifically Developmental Psychology but I am happy to assist with all areas of English based subjects. I miss learning in the context of education and I am eager to help you! If my Law career does not work out I believe I will become a teacher!

Throughout education I always studied and revised based on the most appropriate and efficient method. In example, I revised best by memorising word for word. Therefore, before lessons commenced we would check which type of learner you are - i.e visual, auditory, memorisation and so forth. Then we would create a table based on the syllabus and which parts you enjoy most and which parts you least enjoy. I always found that I neglected the difficult stuff as I didn’t find it enjoyable because I couldn’t understand it and there would be no reward after. To avoid this happening, we need to activate your dopamine reward system and incorporate the difficult and enjoyable parts of the syllabus into your revision. We would spend a short amount of time on something you really do not enjoy/dislike until you start to understand it. Then we would move on to something you find easier to grasp and thus more enjoyable to learn. Once you felt you had been rewarded we can revisit the difficult parts and continue this throughout the week and this should bring back your confidence but also it would become more enjoyable and feel like less of a chore to learn. I have the ability to breakdown large and complex theories and deliver them in a more simplified way in which you can understand, revise and regurgitate in your exam with ease. My favourite simplified explanation is the difference with validity and reliability which students often get confused with, I did as well until I simplified it in the context of chocolate and carrot cake!
