About Alexander
I am a qualified science teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Science (Biology) and a degree in Biomedical Science, currently studying towards an MSc. I have experience teaching and supporting students across a range of abilities, helping them to understand complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way.
I am particularly skilled at working with students who feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start. My approach is calm, structured and supportive, helping students build confidence alongside their understanding.

My lessons are designed to make BTEC Applied Science clear, structured and manageable, especially for students who feel overwhelmed by coursework or unsure how to meet the criteria.
As a qualified science teacher (PGCE) with a background in Biomedical Science, I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, step-by-step explanations. I also support students with understanding assignment briefs, improving their written answers, and working towards Pass, Merit and Distinction criteria.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and tailored to the individual. We can focus on specific units, coursework, exam preparation, or general understanding.
I take a calm, structured approach that works particularly well for students with ADHD, autism, or those who struggle with organisation and confidence. I prioritise clarity, routine, and building confidence so students know exactly what to do and how to improve.
My lessons are suitable for BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 students who want clear guidance, support with assignments, and a more manageable approach to science.
