About John
I have acted as a volunteer tutor previously at my secondary school when I was studying for my own A-Levels, where I assisted two students individually in studying for their GCSE's. Both students showed a marked improvement from their initial predictions in their final results.
Beyond a deep academic study at University as a historian and a successful education with my A-Levels I have also had experience volunteering at historical events, such as those run by English Heritage, helping interact and educating the public.

My pursuit of historical education at degree level has shown my commitment to the topic and my result of a 2:1 reflects the hard work I have put in. My approach to lessons is similar to seminars where learning is encouraged through discussion and critical analysis that aids in overall knowledge retention.
