I am extremely organised and motivated to help others succeed with GCSEs, A Levels or adult or casual learners. I will bring a planned session with me every week and find out as much about you, your goals and your learning style as I can to help me tailor my approach so you can get the best results.
I am a great believer in tailoring my teaching methods to my specific students. As Einstein once said, "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life thinking its stupid." I am currently working mainly at KS3 level in a variety of core subjects, however I myself have studied up to degree level and will be starting my PGCE in September 2017.
I base my lessons on what topics the students already know and on how well they now them. I produce my own resources such as work sheets and I would advise the students to make as many notes as they can on theses. After two weeks I would plan a test to see how well they have obtained the information I have given to them in the following lessons.
I am able to deliver one-to-one tutoring on an hourly basis to GCSE/IGCSE students in year 10 and year 11 for English, Biology, and History. I also can provide IB or A-Level tutoring to college/sixth form students for History and Biology. I can also assist hopeful medical school applicants in their UKCAT preparation along with their interview preparation.
My pursuit of historical education at degree level has shown my commitment to the topic and my result of a 2:1 reflects the hard work I have put in. My approach to lessons is similar to seminars where learning is encouraged through discussion and critical analysis that aids in overall knowledge retention.
I have been giving lessons in GCSE Mathematics to a 13 year old student. We sat together and decoded the specification and took each topic, taught the topic to one another, the student was then tested on the topic (tests ranging from easy to difficult) and if the student was comfortable with the topic, we then moved on.
Exceptionally patient and understanding, able to approach topics and ideas from different directions and different angles. Through multiple roles both within university and externally working with teams and individually, i have fermented excellent communication skills and social abilities and would tailor each tutoring session to the student in question.
My teaching method is to teach each study and then show how individual studies can be put together to answer essay questions. I would teach content according to what exam board the student is part of which will allow all the relevant information to be covered.
Previous experience in tutoring GCSE Level German has shown me the importance of tailoring teaching methods to the individual student and the way in which they learn best. Methods can be adapted session to session and depending on the content in consultation with each student to determine the most effective methods.
My lessons are aimed at students studying GCSE and AS/ A Level Biology. My teaching methods are based very much on individual students preferred learning style, for example if you're a visual learner then lessons can be based around constructing a diagram of a biological mechanism or creating visual cues to help remember sequences.

I like to involve my students in activities that best suit their ideal learning methods. I try to appeal to their hobbies and creativity in order for them to become fully immersed in the content.
I base my classes on the requirement of the student. I approach each topic in details and would like my students to inform me about the topics they would like me to cover in the class in full details beforehand so that I am fully prepared with weekly lesson plans and practice tests as required and also be prepared to assist them with homework and other class assignments.

My teaching method is stylised to suit the individual, based on whether they’re a visual/kinetic/listening learner. I aim to use past papers and various questions to have some familiarity for exams, and help my students remember the essential information in a relaxed and friendly environment.
For history, I would structure the essay regarding the essay plan, branch out and mind map with the student and then hone in on the analysis of the points selected. This will be a fun way to explore the historical debate and aim to make the points relevant to the question.
