About Candela
I've always really enjoyed working across different sciences and using them to solve problems from different angles. This is why I wanted to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where I have just graduated from and obtained a first-class result. I am now eager to apply my knowledge to communicating my passion for the sciences and inspiring young people to explore them. Since I only just left the education system, the content and syllabus is fresh and I can thus pick out areas where students might struggle. In my freetime, I enjoy going on long hikes and being out in nature!

My passion for the sciences is infectious, and over the years I have been involved in a range of science outreach activities, for example as a volunteer at the Sedgwick museum, as well as a private tutor. I have a proven academic track record, achieving 5 A* for my international A levels in mathematics, further mathematics, biology, chemistry and Spanish, and all A* for my iGCSEs. In my lessons, I would use the same methodical approach I used myself and with my students in the past, using the syllabus and exam past papers to guide what areas to work on. All the while, I would maintain a positive, friendly environment, as I believe learning must always remain fun and enjoyable.
