I am a strong advocate for active learning. Learning the theory and then reinforcing that by recalling what you have learned using quizlet (both short-term and long-term recall). These are the techniques that I used for my A-level and GCSE exams and I also recommended to my past tutees. However, my teaching is also adaptable, as I am sensitive to the fact that not all people learn in the same way.
I have a place to study medicine at Cambridge in 2021 and received 4A*s (Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and my Extended Project Qualification) at A level. I have had experience tutoring GCSE students in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish and have helped them to achieve the grades that they wanted. I would love to extend my services to other GCSE students during my Gap Year.
Additionally, I do also have experience tutoring 11+ students and would love to help anyone wanting to get into good grammar/ private schools.
