About Alex
Experienced full-time tutor and founder of Birchwood Tutors ((concealed information) BA Economics graduate from the University of Cambridge and recipient of the Paine Prize in Economics (Clare College, Cambridge) for academic excellence. Previous M&A advisory experience at Barclays Investment Bank and Centerview Partners I have significant experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students across Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Business Studies. I also remotely teach Business Studies at an Olympic ski academy based in the French Alps Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling and skiing. Whilst at university, I was Chairperson of the largest student investment fund in the UK and sat on the Senior Committee of the Clare College Students` Union. I also played hockey for Cambridge University Hockey Club and sat on the committees of the university economics society and Clare Politics. Prior to university, I represented the Broxtowe constituency as a Member of the UK Youth Parliament

Perfect! Alex has been an awesome tutor for my daughter. His approach and great enthusiasm have helped my daughter to gain confidence and improve in a very short span of time Alex been teaching her. Perfect! Alex is a very considerate tutor; he takes into Account each And every student’s specific needs and requests and and tailors his teaching around these to optimise each individuals learning experience. He is a master of Economics and, although a broad subject, Alex can be of assistance with even the most specific requirements. I know who I will be asking for help first, should I need any more support with Economics in the future. Thanks Alex.

Alex is an amazing tutor the way he breaks down the content for economics and makes sure you understand it before moving on is outstanding. He uses many real world examples which enables a better understanding and helps with application.
