About Naomi
Hi! I’m Naomi, a University of Cambridge graduate in Politics & International Relations and a current Master’s student at LSE. I’ve been tutoring for over 7 years, supporting students across a range of ages and subjects, including creative writing at both primary and secondary levels. I’ve worked as a tutor in schools and privately, and currently tutor through platforms like TutorChase, including internationally with TutorChase China. My teaching style is grounded in clarity, structure, and confidence-building. I work closely with each student to understand how they learn best and tailor sessions to their specific goals - whether that’s improving writing fluency, building creativity, or gaining confidence in their ideas.

My creative writing lessons focus on building a student’s voice, imagination, and clarity of expression. We work on story structure, grammar, vocabulary, and descriptive techniques, using fun, engaging prompts tailored to the student’s interests and ability. I take a student-led approach: • We begin with a short diagnostic task to identify strengths and areas for development • Lessons are then structured around weekly goals, covering narrative technique, tone, style, and creativity • I provide both verbal and written feedback, and students can opt for additional writing tasks between sessions • Suitable for KS2 and KS3 students, including those preparing for entrance exams or simply looking to build confidence Sessions typically last 1 hour, though I can adjust to 45 or 90 minutes depending on age and attention span. I teach online and always ensure lessons are interactive and responsive to each child’s unique style of learning.
