About Seany
I am a Law student at the University of Cambridge, having recently completed the Irish Leaving Certificate with six H1 grades. I tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, History and Politics, and I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult.
I also have extensive debating experience, including representing Ireland internationally, which has given me strong communication skills and plenty of experience explaining difficult ideas clearly and patiently.
As someone who has only recently gone through secondary-school exams myself, I understand the pressure students face and the importance of having a tutor who is approachable, encouraging and focused on practical improvement. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and steadily becoming more confident in their ability.

I offer personalised online lessons for secondary-school students in Ireland, Northern Ireland and England, with in-person tutoring also available in Cambridge. Lessons are normally one hour and are tailored to each student’s level, goals and learning style.
I tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, History and Politics, with a strong focus on both understanding the material and performing well in exams. For Maths and the sciences, I break difficult concepts down step-by-step before working through problems and past-paper questions with the student. For essay-based subjects, I focus on argument structure, essay planning, exam technique and writing clear, high-quality answers.
Having recently completed the Leaving Certificate with six H1s and now studying Law at Cambridge, I have very recent experience of preparing for high-level secondary-school exams. I aim to make lessons relaxed and approachable while still being focused on measurable progress and better exam performance.
