About Elyana
Studying Law at the University of Cambridge after achieving an A* in A-Level English Literature has given me a strong foundation in close analysis, essay writing and constructing convincing arguments.
Having completed the A-Level recently, I understand how challenging it can be to move from knowing a text well to producing the kind of focused, analytical essays that achieve the highest marks. I particularly enjoy breaking down complex texts, developing original interpretations and finding ways to make essays more precise and convincing.
I want to help students become more confident in their own ideas and writing, while giving them practical techniques they can apply independently in essays and exams. My approach is supportive and adaptable, with lessons shaped around each student's individual strengths and areas for improvement.

My lessons place a strong emphasis on perfecting essay writing and developing the depth of textual understanding needed to produce high-level A-Level English Literature essays.
We will work through essay planning, writing and improving individual paragraphs, developing sophisticated arguments and interpretations, and writing full essays under both untimed and timed conditions. I can also mark completed essays in detail, identifying exactly where improvements can be made in analysis, structure, expression and use of evidence.
Alongside essay technique, lessons focus on developing a detailed understanding of the texts themselves. We can explore key themes, characters, language, form, context and alternative interpretations, with a particular focus on turning this knowledge into strong analytical arguments rather than simply learning content.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether that means strengthening textual knowledge, improving essay structure and writing style, or pushing already strong essays towards A/A* level.
