Methodology

My two years of teaching experience at Winchester College have prepared me well to communicate with students, tailoring my lessons to their specific needs. My teaching methodology will thus be designed to fit you! In general, though, I like to challenge students and push them to engage more deeply with the material. I provide models and examples to help pupils improve their writing and encourage them to be active readers, making annotations and looking up words they don’t know. In teaching ancient languages (and I teach Latin as well as Greek!), I believe that an emphasis on grammatical rigor helps students make the fastest progress.
