I have 3 years of experience working as a nanny and tutor to primary school and GCSE students. I am able to offer 1 on 1 homework help for primary school students and in depth tutoring and revision help for GCSE students.

When working with primary school students I find it is really important to keep them engaged even when they are struggling to grasp a topic. I find using practical examples (objects/scenarios) that are familiar to them often help to make a tricky maths topic a lot less threatening and easier to tackle.
With GCSE students, I like to focus on specific topics with which they are struggling and doing in depth practise in these areas, while continuously returning to topics which they are generally sound at. This not only keeps morale up but also helps to create a level playing field across all topics so that when the exams come they don't feel unable to answer any questions.
