About Rachel
I am passionate about people and enabling them to find their voices. I take joy in eliciting students' self-expression, both verbally and on the page. I thrive on using creative approaches to engage and encourage students of varying skillsets and backgrounds. I believe that exam success is a result of enjoyable and meaningful learning and strive to develop strong relationships with all my tutees.
I am also a playwright and will soon be undertaking a UNESCO-funded PhD in Creative Writing and Literacy at the University of East Anglia. I believe people flourish when they feel safe, encouraged and have fun!

I am a creative and dynamic tutor with over 15 years' experience. My teaching skills are versatile and I hone my approach for a diverse range of needs. I am an outstanding practitioner, having completed my training at the University of Cambridge; I am qualified to teach Secondary English and also have a qualification in teaching English as an additional language and am well-versed in teaching those who are preparing for the 11+. I have also spent many years working with those who have come from complex backgrounds and am trauma-informed in my approach to tutoring. My lessons are an hour long, online and I am able to accommodate those from seven years old right through to adult learners.
