About Maxwell
"Music exists in the silence between notes. Having taught 83 students, I have spent 13 years observing how posture and hand position dictate the quality of tone.
My personal background involves intense study at The Juilliard School where I learned the Fleisher lineage. I enjoy integrating scales and arpeggios with pop and contemporary pieces.
You might also be interested in my work with pedaling technique or jazz improvisation. Some students come to me for accompaniment skills. It is quite rewarding to watch a student translate these mechanical habits into fluid performance."
