About Erin

I am a friendly Undergraduate student at the University of Bristol studying Psychology. At GCSE and A Level I achieved high standard grades (GCSE: 9-7) (A Level: A*-A).
I am able to adapt to many different learning styles from auditory to visual. I can cater to a range of student's personal goals whether that be passing a subject to be able to study what they want in College/Sixth Form or higher education, as well as helping students achieve top A*/A (9/8) grades.

If you are solely interested in passing a subject, I will be able to make sure you get that grade as well as helping you to understand the content better by us working at a pace and style that suits you best. By learning 1:1 with me we can tackle any obstacles that are getting in the way of you achieving your potential.

For those who are wanting to hit those top marking bands, I will be able to teach you to understand the marking criteria and lend advice which will separate you into the top percentile in order to achieve those high marks.

I have experience tutoring KS3 secondary school children in English and Science and have helped tutor in English Literature GCSE and sciences.
Additionally I have informally tutored Psychology AS/A Level.

I am more than happy to help with any problems/queries and I believe that no question is a silly question. I will always make sure that you are comfortable and I hope to boost your confidence with the content you are learning. I aim to adapt my teaching style depending on your own personal preferences as it is important that everyone learns in the way that suits them best.

Erin :)

Erin Johnstone is a really motivated and high achieving individual. She has experience with mentoring younger students during her time at secondary school, where she guided many through any emotional obstacles they faced using her great communication skills. She has shown great empathy which means she is able to effectively cater to each persons needs to support them in their academic lives. She consistently shows high attention to detail and organisational skills, meaning she is reliable and a great all rounder. I very much recommend her to become a tutor as I feel she demonstrates all the key skills necessary.

Erin was an excellent tutor. She was motivating but also understanding when it came to areas I struggled with. Her ability to adapt to the way that I learn was by far her best asset. I would definitely recommend her.
