About Priya
I’m a Canadian-born native English speaker who loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, spending time by the water, and going for hikes. I’m also passionate about writing and am currently working on a few children’s books. Professionally, I teach grades 9–12—including refugees and newcomers to Canada—for the Vancouver School Board, and I also work as an environmental consultant for a large international consulting firm.

I use hands-on teaching methods with lots of visuals to support K-12 learners. I teach using the BC curriculum and have experience supporting and preparing students for their IELTS and TOEFL exams. Lessons will include flashcards, video visuals, writing, speaking, and reading activities, along with weekly assignments and quizzes to encourage learning and assess understanding.
