About Karma
My name is Miss Karma and I am SO excited to be your teacher and looking forward to having fun, learning and lots of adventure! I am a native speaking English teacher with a 120 hr advanced TEFL certificate. My passion is teaching learners and I love seeing them succeed to become comfortable in using the English language. My classes are fun and interactive. I love singing and dancing and having loads of fun. I love making my students laugh and offering them a great experience. I like using a variety of teaching techniques and props. I love animals, I love having fun in my lessons and treat all my students as individuals. Each person has their own learning goals and needs and I adapt my teaching style to suit them. I cannot wait to learn all about you, but first let me tell you a little more about myself - I was born in Cape Town South Africa, and have lived in Cape Town all my life. I am married, don’t have any human children so far but I do have a lot of animal children. When I am not planning lessons I enjoy time out in nature, playing with my animal children and doing arts and crafts. I also love reading, going to the park and spending time with loved ones and gardening. Some of my favorite things are: Color: Purple Food: Pasta or Thai Green Curry Snack: Popcorn Drink: Water or tea Animal: Horse / Rats We are going to do so many fun things and of course we will learn a lot together. My name is teacher Karma and I am from South Africa. Nice to meet you I am passionate, fun, and creative. I am a native speaking certified English teacher and hold a 120 hour ADVANCED TEFL certificate, as well as an online certification on Child development from ages 0 months to 8 years of age which I have done through Cotlands and The LEGO foundation. I have been working with different kinds of students and children, including special needs education especially autism, skill based education as well as mainstream education. I love singing and having loads of fun. I love making my students laugh and offering them a great experience, while using a variety of teaching techniques and props. I love having fun in my lessons and treat all my students as individuals. Each person has their own learning goals and needs, and I adapt my teaching style to suit them. My passion is teaching young learners and I love seeing them succeed to become comfortable in using the English language. My classes are fun and interactive. My teaching style is patient and caring and I focus on providing good guidance. I prefer to use the TPR method (Total Physical Response) because it allows the lesson to be more interactive between students and teachers, and also allows the lesson to be more exciting throughout. I also love to use props for my lessons to keep things interesting and fun filled. I will help you to master the English language and become a confident English speaker.
