About the lesson

I have worked in education as a peripatetic Upper Woodwind tutor, successfully for over
thirty five years. I especially now, really enjoy tutoring the grade five theory exemption
required to go onto practical Associated Board Grade 6 and above or other boards, for
Grade 8.
I have worked as a moderator for an examinations board for the GCSE performance
component. My positon's have required me to work with ages 7 to Adult.
Over the past few years I have given support in English, both as a foreign/second language
and in literacy. Having also worked on a fixed term contract for Sunderland University in the
EAP department, I have experience of helping students with Spoken English for presentations
and used cultural places to help with listening and speech..
As I have an eye for detail I have had experience of some proofing work.
I enjoy helping people achieve their best and now wish to try to work from home.
I am patient, understanding and always try to get the best out my students.
I have a BA (Hons); Dips in TEFL and TESOL; and FRSA and do CPD coursess
when I can, such as understanding Dyslexia, but then I have studied level two.
Recently I have just completed a short course on SEND.
Thank you.
