About Harrison
I'm an actor, director, writer, and filmmaker with award-winning scripts. For the past year I've taught online English conversation and debate to intermediate and advanced speakers, including a year hosting group and individual lessons for SPEAKS at UCLA. I love teaching real, casual English, slang, idioms, and conversations that go beyond the textbook, no topic is off-limits. I've spent the past year teaching online English conversation and debate to intermediate and advanced speakers, in both group and one-on-one formats, including a year hosting lessons for SPEAKS at UCLA.
I'm also a filmmaker and writer with award-winning scripts, so I bring a real ear for how English actually gets spoken, not just how it's written in a textbook. If you're working on creative writing, story structure, or a script, I can give you notes on that too. I was also an award winning speech finalist in my middle-school classes, and excelled in English and Writing my senior year of high school on my Canadian provincial exams and final grades.
My lessons go beyond the basics: slang, idioms, casual speech, and real conversations about topics you actually care about. No topic is off-limits, and no textbook filler. If you want to build fluency through genuine conversation, this is for you.
