About Emma
- What kind of experience do you have? I have been a professional cellist for 30 years, living and working in London and playing with leading orchestras and ensembles in the UK and abroad. Having studied at the Royal College of Music with Joan Dickson, I was fortunate enough to take masterclasses with some of the world's most eminent cellists including William Pleeth, teacher of Jacqueline du Pré. Teaching for me has become an integral and grounding platform in which to pass on the enjoyment and many skill sets that can be gained from learning the cello. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? I have an up to date DBS

I am a professional cellist and teacher with over 25 years of experience, for pupils of all ages from beginners to anyone who has learnt previously and wants to take it up again. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach the cello. - Tell me about your qualifications. I studied at The Royal College of Music in London where I gained a diploma in teaching and performing. - How much do you charge? I charge £60 per hour. - Where do you teach? I generally prefer to teach at home in W4 as I have a keyboard and plenty of space! I am happy to discuss coming to you depending on where you live. - When are you available? I am very flexible with lessons and generally stick to school terms, after school, weekends. - Which ages and levels do you teach? I teach very young children - 7 years and upwards, to adults who can be beginners or anyone wanting to improve/reignite their former skills! - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? I can prepare students for ABRSM exams, auditions for youth orchestras or university, music college. - Do you have a personal message for students? Keep Calm and play the Cello!
