About Christen
My main goal as a tutor is to help my students with their language goals. I value being organized and punctual to honor the needs and time of my students. I also value clear and direct communication to ensure that my students and I are on the same page concerning expectations. I am very personable and friendly and like to create a fun but relaxed learning environment. I find that we all learn better when we are enjoying ourselves.

I’ve noticed that for many students learning English they come to a point that using the language is what they need the most with some guided instruction and feedback. This enables them to move from head knowledge to creating muscle memory with the words so conversation flows more effortlessly. Naturally in conversation vocab, pronunciation, and grammar problems arise that present perfect learning opportunities. However, I’m flexible to the needs of my students. If the student has a particular style of lesson that fits their learning style or needs, I’m able to adapt. Also, I really enjoy my students and like to create a fun and enjoyable learning atmosphere!

I appreciate how Kristen listens to my needs and doesn't rely on rote teaching methods. She's always open to all kinds of dialogues, creating a comfortable environment where there's no fear of making mistakes—something I find crucial in a teacher-student relationship.
